The King Charles Hotel Prague, Prague

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were huge, like a mini apartment, and the staff was really helpful and nice. The location was near the castle and good restaurants with authentic Czech food.

The hotel is perfectly situated near Prague Castle and Petrin Hill, offering a romantic getaway in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The rooms are spacious with reliable internet, but they differ from the online photos. The service is charming, with staff patiently guiding guests on transportation and offering a nostalgic stay reminiscent of an old tavern or castle. The location is ideal, away from the bustling streets but within easy reach of the city center and just around the corner from the Charles Bridge and the old city. However, the dining options are somewhat limited, and the breakfast could be warmer, although the self-service setup allows for a hassle-free dining experience.

I had a delightful stay at the hotel. The rooms were perfect for tea lovers, spacious, and even had a coffee machine. However, they were not as featured in the booking, and the lack of air conditioning may be due to the historic status of the building. The service was outstanding, especially the young gentleman at the reception who went above and beyond, even surprising my wife with birthday chocolates. The location couldn't have been better, being close to stunning landmarks like St Vitus Cathedral and just a short walk to the castle. The dining experience offered a good variety, although the breakfast was not very appetizing. Facilities were ample and satisfactory, contributing to a pleasant stay.

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms had a stylish decor with a comfy bed and a large bathroom, available for an extra €35 a night, which was totally worth it. However, the rooms were quite dim during the daytime, possibly due to the age of the building. The service was a letdown as my privacy was completely ignored, especially by a young gentleman at the reception who seemed out of it and mistakenly claimed our booking was for the following evening. The location, on the bright side, was truly amazing. Situated next to the castle, up the hill, away from the busy streets, yet within easy walking distance to the city center, it offered breathtaking views from the top of the hill, and it was extremely close to Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral. The dining experience could definitely use some improvement to elevate the stay, even though the produce selection was excellent. Overall, the facilities were decent, but there is room for enhancement in certain areas.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious rooms, featuring an exceptionally comfortable bed and bright bedside lights, making it easy to read at night. However, the size of the rooms was a bit on the small side for my liking. The location was great, quiet yet easy to reach the main sights, although navigating the steep streets near Prague Castle was a challenge.
